HICKEY, Theodore Victor Michael

Died on Monday, 29 September, 2025, surrounded by his family, beloved brother of Bridget, Vicki, Tim, Pat, Micki, Michael-John and Sean, a precious member of the Hickey clan, 67 in total.

Theo’s funeral is due to take place on Friday, 10 October, at 2 pm in the Catholic Church ‘La Salle les Alpes’, 05240, France, where he will be buried.

AVRILL, Marion Heather Louise

John and family wish to thank all who attended the service for Marion, so many familiar faces. Many thanks to Rev Evan’s for a kind and caring service, also to Lorraine from Jersey Hospice for being there for us and the wonderful staff from Family Nursing. Finally, to Barney from Maillards for his kindness and care throughout at such a difficult time and for arranging the beautiful floral tributes.

DU VAL, Aubrey

Jacquie and family would like to send heartfelt thanks for all the cards and messages of sympathy received, they are so much appreciated at this time. Thank you to everyone who came to say a final farewell to Aubrey and support the family at his service. We thank Neil from De Gruchy’s Funeral Care for his professionalism in being so helpful, compassionate and patient. Thank you to Reverend Martin Evans for being so welcoming and supportive of the family during their time of grief and for preparing and conducting such a lovely service and extra special thanks to Neil and Reverend Martin for assisting the family with Aubrey’s final journey and the internment of his ashes.

Sadly, passed away on Sunday, 14 September, 2025, in the loving care of Cheval Roc.

HENRY, Royston Alfred (Roy)

Gloria, Lee and Lisette and families would like to thank all family and friends who attended Roy’s funeral at St Lawrence Church on 24 September, 2025, he would have been overwhelmed! Special thanks to Reverend Phil Warren and Beth Lloyd, Celebrant, who conducted such a special service and to Amelia from Pitcher & Le Quesne whose calm, caring way and attention to detail ensured that Roy’s service was special. A big thank you to all who sent cards, letters, emails and made telephone calls and sent flowers and to those who made donations to Jersey Hospice, MacMillan or to Jersey Cancer Relief. All very much appreciated. Many special thanks to Dr Butt and his dedicated team in Oncology who made it possible for Roy to celebrate his 81st Birthday! Thanks also to Hospice nurses, in particular Nicky, Lauren and Kim. Thanks also must go to the kindness of his Doctor, James Kerr and to the dedicated, caring staff on Bartlett Ward that enabled Roy to return home with the help of more kind and caring staff from Positive Steps and finally much thanks to Nabel and his exceptional team at Le Petit Bosquet where Roy was very happy and so well cared for in the last weeks of his life.
