Passed away peacefully on Saturday, 7 January, 2017, dear brother of Roselle, brother-in-law to Reg. What would I give to clasp his hand, see his happy face, to hear his voice and see his smile that meant so much to me. He will be sadly missed by us all, his niece Marlene, Andy and the rest of the family.

Passed away peacefully at the General Hospital on Thursday, 22 December, 2016, aged 99 years. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

BRYANT, Robert George (Bob)

Kathleen Bryant wishes to thank all relatives and friends who attended the Crematorium to celebrate the life of Bob, also for the cards and letters which have been a great comfort at this sad time. Our thanks to the Rev Billy Slatter for his kind words, to Doctor Nicky Bailhache and all nursing staff at Hospice who gave such loving and tender care to Bob for the week he was with them and for the same care shown by all at Hospice to us as a family. Our thanks also to the nurses from Family Nursing & Home Care who attended Bob at home. Thank you to Dr Rhys Perkins for looking after Bob for 38 years. Thank you to all who have sent donations to Hospice or the RNLI and to Mr Paul Battrick of Pitcher & Le Quesne who carried out Bob’s wishes to have the funeral he wanted (including the motor cycle hearse) with such understanding. To Iain Hall who arranged the type of music that Bob had requested before the service. My thanks to my granddaughter Katherine for reading her sister Hannah’s letter to their grandfather so beautifully, to my son Rob for his reflections on his father. Thank you also to Mr Alan Langlois for his kindness to my son and our family. To Jeanette, always there for myself and family for 58 years. Last but not least to my daughter Sarah and son Rob who have been so supportive and now even more so. If I have omitted to name anyone, I apologise. There is an Irish saying ‘Good friends are like stars, you don’t always see them, but you know they are there’.
