Died peacefully at Clarkson House, on Monday, 10 October, 2016, aged 95 years, beloved wife of the late Eric, mother to Bill and John, mother-in-law to Jenny and Moira and a devoted grandmother to Tom, Jo, Sophie, Marianne, Josie and Michael. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.

Family and friends wishing to attend Dorothy’s funeral service are invited to St Clement’s Parish Church on Friday, 21 October at 11. 00 am. Interment will follow in St Saviour’s Parish Cemetery. Susan would like to thank everyone who attended Chris’s funeral service last week. The Rev Mark Bond wove together a wonderful celebration of Chris’s life. Laura and Asti, Howard and Grace wish to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation for the sympathy cards, memorial donations and flowers that were received following the loss of their beloved father and father-in-law David. Special thanks go to Dad’s GP, Simon Bonn, whose longstanding care and friendship he so valued. Thanks also go to the wonderful nurses at Family Nursing & Home Care, the team at Jersey Hospice and the staff from Total Living Care, all of whom supported Dad and afforded him such dignity in his last weeks. We are indebted to Andy at Pitcher & Le Quesne for supporting us in having the funeral that Dad wanted, and thanks go to management and staff at St Brelade’s Bay Hotel for the excellent funeral reception. Most of all we are truly grateful for the kind words, memories and love expressed by so many people for David, “a true gentleman” who will remain in our hearts forever.
