Bill’s family warmly invite anyone who knew Bill to join them at the Crematorium at 11.30 am on Thursday, 16 May, to remember and celebrate his life.

By request no flowers or mourning clothes please.

The family will be wearing royal blue, the colour of his favourite football team, and would be very happy if you choose to do the same.

Passed away peacefully at St Joseph’s Care Home, St Helier on Monday, 29 April, 2024, aged 78 years. He will be missed by all who knew him.

MCCARTHY, Derek William

Passed away at home, after a short illness, bravely borne, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, 20 April, 2024, aged 86 years, much-loved and adored brother of Lynne, brother-in-law of John, loving uncle to Mark, Zannah and great- uncle to Maisie and Xavier, loving husband of the late Christine. Derek will be greatly missed by his family and friends, he will be loved and remembered forever.

Funeral Service

Relatives and friends wishing to attend the funeral service for Derek are invited to meet at St Brelade’s Parish Church on Tuesday, 14 May at 11.30 am, followed by a private interment.
