HAMON, Francis Charles

30. 07. 39-19. 03. 16. Sonia, Taisie, Chris, Graeme and Zoe wish to extend their sincere thanks to all those who so kindly filled the greater part of St Thomas’ RC Church for Francis’ funeral. We are most grateful to Monsignor Nicholas France, MBE, KCHS and Deacon Iain MacFirbhisigh, KHS, for conducting the funeral service so beautifully. Sincere thanks go to two dear friends, Colin Perchard and Peter Le Breuilly, Colin for recalling and sharing highlights of Francis’ life, Peter for his superb delivery of Francis’ favourite poem ‘The Windhover’ by Gerard Manley Hopkins. Our grateful thanks, too, to organist Malcolm L’Amy and soloist Simone Garton whose musical talents so enhanced the service. We were fortunate to secure the expertise of Maillard’s, Funeral Directors, who ensured the smooth and dignified funeral arrangements. During Francis’ illness we were superbly supported by Mafalda and Sandra from Orchid Care and our special thanks go to them. Finally, we have been overwhelmed by the cards and letters of sympathy from so many of Francis’ friends and work colleagues, which are helping to reconcile us to our loss. God bless you all.

Lots of love Sandra, John and family xxxx.
