Karen and family would like to thank all those who sympathised with the recent sad loss of her father Jeff. The love and support of family and friends has been overwhelming. Those who attended the funeral, called, sent cards, emails and Facebook messages, thank you, it really did make a difference. Thank you for the generous donations made to Family Nursing and Home Care and the Little Sisters of the Poor. I am grateful to Father David Quarmby who celebrated the funeral service and to Aurelie Norman the organist and the choir members. My special thanks to Dr Sean Ryan whose care and attention to detail gave my father a good quality of life despite his many illnesses. Thank you to all the specialists and nurses at the hospital whose caring compassion was so evident. Thank you so much to the sisters, staff and residents of the Little Sisters, my father’s wellbeing was greatly enhanced by living in such a beautiful and caring environment for the final two years of his life. Finally, my gratitude to Ken and all at Maillard’s for their professional care with the funeral arrangements.

BECK, Leslie

Passed peacefully away on Sunday, 30 November, 2014 after a short illness, aged 94 years. He will be sadly missed by his son David, daughter-in-law Elizabeth, granddaughters Rachel and Ruth and great-grandson Oscar.

Relatives and friends wishing to attend the funeral service for Leslie are invited to meet at St Mark’s Church, David Place, St Helier, on Thursday, 11 December, at 1. 30 p. m. RAYSON, John William

Aged 76 years, passed peacefully away in the tender loving care of the Little Sisters of the Poor, losing his brave battle against cancer, most treasured and beloved husband of Shirley, wonderful, adored and much respected father of Angela, Christopher his partner Linette, and adored and special Grandpa to Sean. He will be missed by us for ever. John made his own arrangements, a totally private cremation, we hope friends and family will respect this. Passed away in the care of the Royal Infirmary, Edinburgh, on Tuesday, 2 December, 2014, aged 94 years. She will be sadly missed by her nephew Michael and family in New Zealand, her cousin Mary in Edinburgh, stepsons Peter and David and all who knew her.
