CARR, Mavis
Advocate Richard Michel for reading the poem ‘Do Not Stand At My Grave and Weep’ a poem that meant a lot to May. Florist Jackie for the beautiful wreaths all portrayed in May’s racing colours. The funeral choir who uplifted everyone’s hearts by leading the singing of the hymns. The Connétable of St Ouën, the Parish Hall staff and the Honorary Police who so professionally policed the roads and car park enabling so many of you to be able to attend. The girls from the hospice shop who made the retiring collection for Jersey Hospice, a charity close to May’s heart, which we believe collected in excess of £930, thank you the congregation of 340 plus for being so generous. Matthew Wainwright for the catering, ensuring that everyone was well fed and watered, and finally thank you to Gary Tye of De Gruchy’s Funeral Care for their guidance and understanding at such a difficult time.
