Passed away peacefully on Monday, 3 November, 2014, at the General Hospital, aged 92 years, dearly beloved husband of Barbara and caring father to Marlene, Alan and Nina, much-loved father-in-law of Pierre and Clare, adored grandfather of Rachel, Peter, Maddy and Matthew and great-grandfather to little Jack, Luke and Skye. Hilary, Gemma and Amy would like to thank all friends, work colleagues and the staff and students at Jersey College for Girls for all their cards and kind messages sent during Colin’s recent illness. Thanks also to the doctors at Cleveland Clinic, the hospital doctors and the staff on Corbière Ward. Special thanks to Dr Bailhache and the wonderful staff, especially Carol, at Jersey Hospice for their devoted care of Colin and support for us through a very difficult time. Passed peacefully away, aged 76 years, on Monday, 27 October, 2014, in Southampton Hospital after a short illness. Will be sadly missed by her sons and daughters and their families. RIP. God saw you getting tired,
And a cure was not to be, So he put His arms around you, And whispered ‘come to me’. With tearful eyes we watched you, And saw you pass away, Although we loved you dearly, We couldn’t make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, And God knew you needed rest, So he broke our hearts to show us, He only takes the best. Reunited with our Dad and baby Dawn.
