Passed away at home, after a short illness, bravely borne, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, 20 April, 2024, aged 86 years, much-loved and adored brother of Lynne, brother-in-law of John, loving uncle to Mark, Zannah and great- uncle to Maisie and Xavier, loving husband of the late Christine. Don was reunited with his beloved wife, Maureen, after falling asleep at home on Friday, 1 March, 2024, a much-loved Dad to Don and Laura, a treasured Grandad and a wonderful friend to all who had the privilege to know him.
Funeral Service
Having proudly served his country for 27 years, a military funeral will be held at St Andrew Garrison Church, Aldershot on Friday, 3 May at 1.30 pm, followed by burial at Aldershot Military Cemetery.
Following on from the committal, the family warmly invite you to join them at the Golden Lion Pub for light refreshments and to continue sharing fond memories of Don.
Family flowers only are requested, however, donations if desired may be given in memory of Don to the Royal British Legion or the Army Benevolent Fund.
