PICK, Christina (née Smith)

Aged 80 years, Christina passed away peacefully on Saturday, 5 July, 2025, at the Jersey General Hospital, a much-loved wife to Terry and mother to Jason and the late Denzil. Christina will be greatly missed by all her family and many friends.

Jean, Louise and Natalie would like to thank everyone for the beautiful cards, letters and flowers sent offering condolences in the past few weeks. Family, friends and neighbours have been so very kind throughout Barry’s illness. Thank you to all the healthcare professionals in the community and hospital, especially Dr Duku. Special thanks to Dr Geoffrey Hamilton of Atlantic Surgery. We were overwhelmed by the number of people who attended Trinity Church to celebrate Barry’s life. Special thanks to Reverend Canon Geoff Houghton, Nick Cabot and the Trinity Church Choir for helping to give Barry a wonderful send off. We are grateful to the management and staff of the Trinity Arms who provided a memorable Wake. Grateful thanks to the Municipality of the Parish of Trinity for their help in organising seating in the Parish Hall, for controlling traffic and for forming a guard of honour at the end of the service. Thank you to Cherie and all the caring staff at Pitcher & Le Quesne, Funeral Directors. Your support, care and compassion were a great comfort to us. Finally, our thanks to everyone who donated to Jersey Hospice Care.

WISEMAN, Jeffrey David

Corinne would like to thank everyone for the beautiful cards, letters and flowers sent following the sudden death of her beloved Jeff. A big thank you to paramedics Kelly and Emily, Ryan and Mario of JETS, as well as Timothy, and the teams at A&E and the cardiology department who worked so hard to help Jeff. Thank you to Dr Sean Ryan who looked after Jeff so well for many years. Many thanks to everyone who attended Jeff’s funeral at the Crematorium, both in person and by live-stream. Special thanks to Chris Bright for his wonderful eulogy which encapsulated Jeff’s personality and life so beautifully. Jeff would have been amazed and embarrassed. Thanks too to Elisa Cañas for conducting such a personal service and to Alicia at Maillards for her help and support, particularly in bringing Jeff home from the John Radcliffe Hospital. Thanks to the Boat House for the wake and to everyone who has made donations to Macmillan, a charity close to both our hearts, and special thanks to our friends and former colleagues at the JEP for all their support.

Jeff made the world a better place. He was the most special man who will be so deeply missed.

LOUGHLIN, Margaret Anne (née Renouf)

Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, 1 July, 2025, aged 92, surrounded by family and love. Reunited with her beloved husband Dick, loving Mum to Jane and Michael, adored mother-in-law to Louisa and Alison, and proud Nana to Melissa and Rebecca. She will be remembered by so many for her sharp mind, her love of Bridge and Canasta, and her many years spent on the bowling green.

STEARN, Christina

Sadly, passed away on Saturday, 5 July, 2025, aged 79 years, in the care of Jersey Hospice with her loving son Duane and daughter-in-law Kersti by her side.

A private cremation will take place followed by an interment in Christina’s homeland of Scotland at a later date.
