Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, 22 June, 2021, aged 72 years. Devoted husband of 49 years to Teeta, much-loved Dad and father-in-law, beloved Papa and great-Papa. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

ETHELSTON, Michael Peel (Mike)

Passed away suddenly but peacefully on Monday, 21 June, 2021, in the presence of his family, aged 84 years, beloved husband of Wendy (Woo), much-loved and respected father of Deryck (Australia), Michelle (NZ) and Peter (South Africa), and adored grandfather and Poppa of his eight grandchildren. Mike will be sadly missed by all his family and many friends.

PODGER, Alec Charles

Passed away peacefully on Friday, 18 June, 2021, on his 99th birthday, beloved husband to the late Rita, much-loved father to Rob, John, Margaret and the late Eileen. Alec will be sadly missed by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.

It is with sadness that we acknowledge the recent passing away of Clifford, who served as Parish Secretary for a number of years in the Parish of St Martin.

Evelyn, Denis, Donna and the family wish to thank everyone for the cards, messages, telephone calls and flowers they received, also, thank you to all who attended the funeral service. Sincere thanks to the following people; Father Matthew King for his caring, support and making it a memorable service, a special thanks to consultant Ben Hughes, nurses Lucy and Tracey from Urology, and Mr Pia, Mr Alun Roberts, Mr Paul Hughes and all the nurses from the Intensive Care Unit who looked after Roger for the many months he was in their care last year. Georgie, Ebony and Anne his Physiotherapists, Dr Elizabet Gomes Dos Santos, Oncology, the nursing staff of Plémont Ward, also the Ambulance Service and the paramedics who attended Roger at home. Our family Doctor Penny Le Bas, and to all who donated to Jersey Critical Care Survivors and Family Nursing.
