Due to limited space, a private funeral service for Sir David will take place at Gouray Church on Thursday, 9 April, at 2 pm, followed by a private cremation.

The church service will be by invitation only.

Sir David’s funeral service will be live streamed and those wishing to attend this, are invited to meet at the Rocco Tower Suite, Radisson Blu Hotel, St Helier Waterfront.

Smart/casual dress requested.

RAINE, Winifred (née Wilson) (Win)

Aged 87 years, Win passed away peacefully on Friday, 6 March, 2026, at the General Hospital. Wife of the late Nick Raine. Dear Win will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. She was a great character and loved by many.

Revelation 21 vs 4.

A private cremation will be held, followed in due course by a memorial service at Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses, Corbiere, details to follow.

LUCAS-VILLAR, Lynda Joy

Passed away peacefully with family by her side on Saturday, 7 March, 2026, in Jersey General Hospital, loving Mum, mother-in-Law, Grandma to her ten grandchildren in Jersey and Australia, sister and Aunty. She will be sadly missed by family and friends. Thank you to all the doctors and nurses who looked after Lynda over the years.

Sally, Nicky and family wish to thank everyone who attended Normans funeral service and to those who sent cards and messages and sent donations to Jersey Hospice. Special thanks to Reverend Robert Harris for conducting the service, Richard Vibert for his eulogy and Rose Hellie, Audrey Tupper for the readings, also to organist Alan Mollet and the funeral choir, Sarah from Woodside for the beautiful flowers. Thanks to the staff of Lakeside Manor for their care of Norman over the years, to St Brelade’s Bay Hotel for the refreshments and finally thanks to Ken and the team at De Gruchy’s Funeral Care for the funeral arrangements as Norman wanted.
