Claire, Helen and family would like to express their sincere thanks to everyone for the cards, flowers and messages of kindness sent during their recent bereavement. Special thanks to all the staff at St Joseph’s Care Home who looked after our Dad so well, all who attended the funeral service at St Ouen’s Church and the Reverend Ian Pallent who delivered the perfect service as Dad would have wanted. Thank you to Andy from Pitcher and Le Quesne Funeral Directors who made the arrangements run smoothly and helped us with kindness and compassion. Thanks to Ffi at Bella Fiori for creating the special Royal Engineers Crest and wreath which he would have loved. Thanks to The Farmers Inn for all that they did to arrange a memorable wake to celebrate his life, and thanks to all that donated to Jersey Hospice in his memory. Your support has been a great comfort at this sad time.

LE ROSSIGNOL, Eric

Grace and family would like to express sincere thanks to everyone who attended the celebration of Eric’s life. It was a great comfort to see so many people at St Aubin and Eric would have felt honoured by such a turnout. Many thanks too for the numerous cards, messages and calls offering support and kindness at such a difficult time. We cannot thank everyone individually and hope that you all know who you are and how much your kindness has meant. Special thanks must go to Rev Peter Goodhall for Eric’s funeral and, before that, his pastoral care of Eric in his last days, Alan Mollet for the funeral music, Peter Williams for the eulogy and Neil Dingle from De Gruchy’s for thinking of those extra special touches that made Eric’s funeral so meaningful. Thanks too to Darren Whelan for his help with the cars. Eric suffered very poor health for a long time and Dr Henry Paul was a great support in recent years, as was Carolina Almeida, Heart Failure Nurse Specialist in Jersey in recent times, plus the team at the National Amyloidosis Centre in London over a number of years, to name but a few. In Eric’s last days the support and care given by Kim, initially, then Lorraine from Hospice’s Palliative Care Team was amazing, as was the support from the wonderful ladies in the team at Family Nursing and Home Care, who called on Eric on a daily basis. Last, but not least, we cannot thank Adelina, Amy and Diane from Gentle Care enough for stepping in at very short notice and for providing incredible support, without which we could not have made Eric’s last days as comfortable as we did. You truly were angels in all you did for Eric and for Grace and family. Thank you.
