VAN DER VLIET, Bernard

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by nearly all his family, on Wednesday, 13 August, 2014, aged 82 years, beloved husband of Sadie and father of Geoff and Julie, father-in-law of Nicky and Steve and much-adored Poppa of Ellen, Louise, Amelia, Alex and Michael. A brave and gentle soul who never complained of the pain he suffered in several battles over 14 years, but he beat cancer in the end which he always intended to do.

The Partington and Martin families would like to thank everyone who attended Mary’s funeral service. We would like to say a special thank you to all the amazing staff at Palm Springs Nursing Home for their wonderful care during the last weeks of Mary’s life.
