McCLOSKEY, Michael (Mick)

The family of Mick would like to thank everyone for their kind messages, cards and for attending his funeral. A special thank you to Father Benjamin for his spiritual guidance and for the service, the staff at the General Hospital and De Gruchy’s Funeral Care, especially Nigel Coutanche, a good friend to Mick for many years, like most of the staff and Gary Tye for all their care and support. Thanks also to Danny Kevan who has helped and looked out for Mick on many occasions over the years, and Andy Ruellan for helping the family with Mick’s car. On behalf of my husband, I know he would like to praise and thank our daughter Claire, her husband Stephen and our grandchildren Finley and Grace, our son Kevin, his wife Lorna and our granddaughter Orlaith for being there for him, arranging an amazing service and a great send off, he would have enjoyed it! He was very proud of you all, but sadly his 9 lives ran out and he was too tired. I’ll raise a toast tomorrow for our 45th wedding anniversary, Pal XXX.

Malcolm, Ann and Peter would like to thank everyone who sent such kind and thoughtful letters, cards and generous donations. Thank you to all who attended Don and Dorothy’s funeral services and special thanks to the Dean of Jersey the Very Reverend Mike Keirle for such beautiful services and to the organist Malcolm L’Amy and the choirs. We would also like to express our very grateful thanks to Dr Richard Brown and colleagues at Indigo Medical, to Eileen and the staff at Pinewood Residential Home, to Ana De Abreau and to the management and staff of Lakeside Care Home for the wonderful care they all gave Don and Dorothy over recent years and months. And finally, we are grateful to Alicia Jarvie and staff at Maillard’s, for their kindness, care and assistance.

TAPPENDEN, Kathleen Margaret (née Gulley)

Passed peacefully away on Friday, 22 March, 2019, in the extraordinarily gentle care of the Jersey Hospice, to be joyfully reunited with her husband Ted and daughter Angela. Greatly loved mother of Simon and dearest sister to Dorothy and the late May, adored Grandma of Kai, Lani, Myla and Kenzi and respected friend to Mike. She will never be forgotten.
