Gives you hugs when you are sad. Gives you unconditional love without wanting anything back. Stays up late when you are out. Tucks you in when you’re asleep. Always there in time of need. Is the only friend you will ever need. Stands by her man to keep him strong, Denies what her children have done even when they are in the wrong. The husband may be the man of the house but without his wife the house would crumble, as she’s the one who keeps everyone strong. I’m a daughter who’s so proud to stand alongside her. That’s my Mum. Florence, Ann, Stuart and family would like to thank the great number of friends who attended Teddy’s funeral and sent such lovely cards, letters and flowers. We were overwhelmed by the kind words and messages received. We would especially like to thank Shirley, Leanne and all at Family Nursing for the tender care and kindness they showed to Teddy and ourselves and to Melanie for her understanding and being there at such an important time. Our thanks to Doctor Cameron for his years of medical care and his kindness and support over the last few weeks. Special thanks to the Rev Liz Singleton for her compassion and humour in undertaking the ‘MC’ duties in accordance with Teddy’s wishes, particular thanks to the leading performers, Daff Noel and Guy Le Sueur for their moving tributes and Sadie Rennard for singing Teddy’s favourite songs so beautifully in his last production. Thanks also to Malcolm Lamy for the accomplished musical arrangements and the Holmchase Choir for the wonderful singing. Thanks to Jasmine for her intuitive advice and to all the staff at the Opera House for the excellent catering and friendly service. Special thanks to Nigel and Simon for their warm words and fitting tributes. Thanks to Peter and Dawn at Pallots for the stunning floral arrangement and not least to Andy Rennell from Pitcher & Le Quesne for his expertise, guidance and patience. We would also like to thank all those who sent donations to Family Nursing, Jersey Hospice and the Salvation Army, and finally, thanks to Bill and Ben, the horses, for being so well behaved as they carried Teddy on his final journey.
