Passed away at his home in France on Wednesday, 5 January, 2022, aged 73 years, following an illness borne with great courage and stoicism. Cherished husband of Joan, much-loved father to Fiona, and stepfather to David, Stephen, Caroline, Louise and Jonathan.

– Layton, Esther, Stephen and all the family would like to thank all the friends and family who attended Pat’s funeral, everyone who expressed their condolences and sent cards, and to those who sent donations to Family Nursing & Home Care Jersey, and flowers in Pat’s memory. Our thanks also to the Reverend Canon Paul Brooks for his comforting service and kind and reassuring words to Pat’s family and friends at this sad time. Also thanks to the singing group, keyboard player, and organist for the beautiful singing and playing, and to Andy and Stephen for their scripture reading and tributes to Pat’s life, and anyone who helped in any way. Our sincere thanks to all the carers and doctors who nursed and cared for Pat with love and compassion over four years, enabling her to stay at home till the end of her life when she passed peacefully away surrounded by her loving family. Finally, to Mr Julian de la Cour and his team from Maillards for their dedicated care and professional funeral arrangements, and to Holme Grown after the funeral service for the reception to celebrate Pat’s life.

– Gill, on behalf of the whole family, wishes to thank all those who attended the funeral service to celebrate the life of her mother, and to those who were unable to attend in person but joined us in the celebration on livestream. To those who sent messages of condolence and well wishes; each message provided comfort to the family at a difficult time, knowing just how much Sheila was loved and admired by so many. Special thanks are extended to the staff at Silver Springs who cared for Sheila these past two years, and in particular Vania and Fiona who were with her in those final moments.
