Tim’s wife Marie, daughter Tracy and sisters, Betty, Mary and Bridget thank Deacon Iain MacFirbhisigh for Tim’s moving funeral service at St Thomas’ Church, where a great number of Tim’s family and friends had gathered. To his dear friend Linda, his nieces Yasmin, Lisa, Rita and Athena and nephews Rino, Yan, John and Marco all of whom were absolutely wonderful in their care of uncle Tim. To american niece Norma and son Seamus who spent a week with him in August, to nephew Pat, also an american who did a lovely reading at the funeral service, niece Peggy and nephew John who kept in constant contact. To Marie’s sister Mecca who has been a tower of love and strength to her and Tracy. To his life-long friends Brion, who had Tim to dinner every weekend when they enjoyed great chats about football and Peter who composed and read at the service an emotive and lovely account of Tim. To John and Dave, his friends from Exeter Uni who visited him in hospital in the UK, our lovely neighbours Jennifer and John, his house friends Kevin, Louise and Sherwin and his many friends in the First Tower area, all of whom kept an eye on him in the months leading to his passing, to one and all we offer our heartfelt thanks and appreciation of their kindness. To De Gruchy’s Funeral Care we say a very big thank you in particular to Nigel and Gary for both their kind and professional handling of arrangements. A special thank you to the staff at Clarkson House Hospice for their expert and very kind care of Tim in his last few weeks and we are grateful to those who have made donations in his memory to this most deserving group.
