STRINGFELLOW, Alan (Mr Gadget).
How can we begin to say thank you to all who have and are ‘making a difference’?
Since the start of Alan’s illness at Christmas, you have held us in your hearts. Your love and prayers have comforted and blessed us continuously, firstly in our anxiety, and now in our sorrow.
Our lives have been enriched by your care and concern with the many, many gifts, letters, phone calls and messages from family, friends near and far, neighbours, Brethren of the Duke of Normandy Lodge, Variety and especially Gouray congregation and Reverend Jeff Wattley and Reverend Tracy Le Couteur Bromley. Thanks to Shane and Moises for their help here, and to staff at the Ommaroo Hotel. Heartfelt thanks to Dr R Worth, Dr E Kleber, Dr P Le Page, nurses and staff at Health Plus, doctors and nurses at the General Hospital, and staff / care angels at St Ewold’s. Everyone who tended Alan gave him their devoted care and attention. Maillard’s have given invaluable understanding and guidance; Mark Burke made the impossible possible, and for this we will be forever thankful. Reverend Jeff Wattley and Reverend Tracy Le Couteur Bromley have accompanied and supported us throughout this journey and we would not be where we are without their love and prayers. They provided a meaningful and memorable service.
May Alan now rest peacefully with our Lord.
God bless you all for making such a difference.
Grace a Dieu.
Joan and family.
It was not possible to celebrate Alan’s 90th birthday. We hope that you will all join us at a later date at Gouray Church to celebrate his life and share your memories.
